In fluid dynamics, we are often considered with the acceleration due to viscosity?, so we consider the viscosity $\nu$ of a fluid divided by its density $\rho$, which is called the **kinematic viscosity**. This is denoted $\mu$:

$\mu = \frac{\nu}{\rho}$
